MY GOD THAT IS YUMMY!
She bugs me every day about getting a job.
So I got one. My aunt already told me she’d hire me as a waitress this summer.
But that’s not enough now, now I have to have a job ‘in my field’. Not that that exists in CT. I already tried to get an internship at Blue Sky Studios, which is in CT, because I know someone who knows Chris Wedge. But like every other media studio, they only want juniors and seniors.
My mom wants me to apply at ESPN. I said I’m willing to bet they only want juniors and seniors. So she said to apply for a job instead, because getting coffee for people who work at ESPN would be in my field, but regular people in a restaurant don’t count.
I don’t care about ESPN. I wouldn’t know what to do there. Plus they’re studio, I don’t know the first thing about that. Studio TV and film are completely different.
She said she doesn’t want me driving to saybrook to the restaurant, but I’d have to drive to hartford or bristol if I worked at ESPN, which is even further from me.
UGH. It’s just really irritating. It’s so frustrating to not be able to explain to her how things in my world work. I try to talk to her about my film and stuff I’m doing any school, but it’s just so different from how things ‘should’ work in her head. So she gives me dumb suggestions, and when I say it won’t work, she pushes the issue anyway. If that makes sense. Whatever.
